PUBLIC HEARING OF THE GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING THE CONSEQUENCES (LIABILITY) CLASS OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION OBJECTS
Today, the public hearing of the draft national standard DSTU XXXX: 201Х "Guidelines for determining the consequences (liability) class of road construction objects" was held at the Institute by the initiative of the Executive Technical Committee TC-307 "Roads and Transport Facilities" and the developer – «DerzhdorNDI» SE.
The members of the Technical Committee TC-307 and TC-319 members and the representatives of «Ukrderzhbudekspertiza" SE, «Road Traffic Organization Center» SE, «Road Quality Control» SE and leading experts in the road construction industry were involved in the discussion of the draft national standard.
During the discussion of the draft national standard DSTU XXXX: 201Х "Guidelines for determining of consequences (liability) class of road construction objects", each of the attending representatives had the opportunity to express their thoughts and vision of the problems in the definition of the consequences (liability) class not only of road construction objects but of the construction projects in general.
Interesting discussions concerned the definition of the consequences (liability) class of the road construction objects by the characteristics of possible consequences due to the object’s failure that are reflected in the adopted DBN. B.1.2-14: 2018 "General principles of ensuring the reliability and structural safety of buildings and structures" that came into force January 1, 2019.
During the discussion of the draft national standard DSTU XXXX: 201X, it had been stated that there is a need to determine the consequences (liability) class of road construction objects by the main characteristic of the object’s closedown: national, regional, local, level of object. At the same time, the participants of the event expressed their proposals for introducing the traffic volume as one of the criteria, which will allow determining more objectively the consequences (liability) classes of road construction objects.
