ROUND TABLE ON PRICING
“Problematic aspects of pricing in construction” round table was held today on the basis of “DerzhdorNDI” SE.
More than 200 participants took part in the event, including the following:
• Customers, Designers and Contractors;
• Engineering and consulting companies;
• Expert organizations and scientific institutions;
• Developers of software complexes;
• Public and other organizations.
The purpose of the event is to hear from the professional community of estimators the problematic issues of pricing in construction and to work out adequate changes to the rules for determination of the cost of construction and the rules for determination of the cost of designing and engineering works.
During the discussion all experts came to the conclusion that the following is needed:
• to transfer in budget financing to one type of the contract price – fixed price.
• to simplify documentation forms and reduce the number of needed documents;
• resource pricing method has not to be abolished, but has to be used correctly, it is effective at the investor estimation stage;
• to determinate a clear mechanism for material prices monitoring;
• to bring the pricing system to the best world practices.
