TRAFFIC SAFETY WEEK

Traffic Safety Week goes on in Ukraine. “DerzhdorNDI” SE specialists have reported a lot of efforts for improving of traffic safety.

A number of regulatory documents had been developed and implemented in recent years, including:

• - amendment to DBN B.2.3-4: 2015 regarding design and construction of public roads;

• - GBN B.2.3-37641918-555: 2016 regarding design of roundabouts with different (little and medium) diameter of inner island;

• - DSTU 8731: 2017 regarding use of road mirrors;

• - DSTU 8732: 2017 regarding application of rumble strips;

• - DSTU 8751: 2017 regarding barriers and sidewalk safety islands;

• - DSTU B В.2.3-30: 2015 regarding arrangement of traffic on three-lane roads;

• - Р В.2.3 - 03450778-855:2015 regarding arrangement of chicane and other modern facilities for arrangement of traffic in urban conditions.

Design and construction of highways on the basis of these documents reduces the number and relieves the consequences of traffic accidents.
